Top Car Of The World

McLaren Senna -- 789bhp, n/a miles

Are you accustomed to the looks yet? Us neither. And the title? Hmm... maybe we'd better focus on the specs, which is the point where the brutal-looking Senna earns its keep. McLaren's brand new Ultimate Series machine grows 789bhp from the 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8, without a hybrid in sight. McLaren hasn't disclosed top rate figures yet, however as this is a craft constructed to warp around tracks, we're anticipating a headline v-max to be forfeited in the name of lap-time heroics.

Lamborghini Urus -- 641bhp, 190mph

2017: the entire year that Lamborghini got back to SUVs. But so as to show the speed of progress, the newest Urus has four fewer electrons compared to the old LM002, nevertheless it develops almost twice the electricity, as a result of some 641bhp variant of the VW Group's bi-turbo 4.0-litre V8. Since we'll see later on in this listing, the Urus is hence the fastest of the super-SUVs, but not the most powerful, by a very long way...

Dodge Demon -- 840bhp, 168mph

The very first road-certified factory automobile to be officially effective at wheelies (or wheelstands, we assume ) is your Dodge Hellcat's even more evil, quarter-mile-munching twin. It's a drag-race monster with an 840bhp supercharged V8 heart, and though that sub-170mph top rate is the cheapest in this list, the Demon's ability to launch in 0-60mph at a verifiable 2.3 moments is as impressive as it's barmy. A worthy addition to the annals of muscle car legend.

Hennessey Exorcist -- 1,000bhp, n/a mph

Of course, Texan horsepower fetishist John Hennessey couldn't let Dodge like the spoils of war for long without devoting his own unleaded-swilling riposte -- with a cheeky name to boot. The Exorcist isalso, as you can see, according to a Camaro ZL1 (or the more track focused 1LE, if you prefer), and, ahem, trumps the Dodge alternative by creating 1,000bhp. The best speed is so far unknown, but since the 0-60mph period is sub 3sec, we think you'll agree it deserves a place among 2017's most unhinged performance cars.

BMW M760Li -- 602bhp, 155mph

This unassuming pluto-barge is, in fact, the most effective, fastest road-going BMW ever made. It's not a legitimate M automobile, but the bi-turbo V12 that lurks behind the bloated nostrils of this supreme 7 Series is a true monster among motors. It develops 602bhp, also thanks to xDrive 4x4 providing the traction, it could launch from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds. So it's faster than the i8, quicker than an M3, and upward before the new M5 has been disclosed, was unassailable from the BMW range for pace. It's not too much a flagship for a destroyer.
